What Is China?
There's an assumption of homogeneity, which is really not the case if one looks more closely at any society. The difference between some chinese dialects, like i studied a minanu, the language spoken on tiwan and the southern half of the province fudien, opposite of taiwan, and it's unintelligible. So again, one has to be careful when you say, what is china? You have to k even to day, presumably, and and have a little bit more sensitive awareness as you travel around the country.
