Is Heller a Success or a Failure?
This is the greatest, ou know, originals opinion, majority opinion, the court has ever issued. It's probably justice sgalia's most important majority opinion in a constitutional case. I think heller would be much more persuasive had it been written, frankly, as a living constitutionalist opinion. By the time it was decided, 75 % of americans agreed with the proposition that the second amemdment protects an individual right to keep and bar arms.
