The Importance of Climate-Centered Candidates in Elections
I strongly encourage everybody to vote in every single race and understand how important it is to have climate centered and environmental justice-minded candidates. Devante Louis who won the public service commissioner role in Louisiana was a sending victory because no one thought that this young African-American believed former teacher would be able to take out an incumbent. We've got to do a better job of making sure we are all up and down that ballot I don't care if it is a vote for school board, she says.
