Politicians want to drum up anger against the banks or whoever it might be. I don't think politicians do a good job of explaining how interest rates rise and fall, he says. The media is also partly to blame for this, because they haven't corrected the fact that really from the bank's point of view, it's not just about the rate at which you lend.
