The Bible Gives Us the Basic Structure for a Philosophy in Scripture
The Bible gives us the basic structure and backdrop by which we should engage other philosophies, says Scott. Augustinian approach to Christian way of using philosophy is not a biblicism, pure antithesis or combination between Christianity and another philosophical perspective into a kind of syncretistic approach. In an Augustinian perspective, he's got this conviction that anything that the non-Christian finds is because God has first disclosed it to them. And now as Christians, we ought to plunder the play in this, plunder the Egyptians, use the tools that they have found for the service of Christian theology.
