How Space Telescopes Orient Themselves

WISE is important because we want to choose what we are seeing. Remember that the telescopes don't see all of space, right? And so you're only really looking at a small portion of the sky. So you definitely want to have control over where your telescope is pointed. It's not easy when you're looking through a telescope to find that particular object.
