The Impetus for the Reproducibility Project

The reproducibility project was launched in 2011. The goal is to test the credibility of research findings by trying to replicate them and see if they can be replicated. In 2015, more than 270 people co-authored a paper that had 100 replications from leading journals around the world. It spawned a discussion about what it meant for psychology to try to reproduce full or at least half of its findings.
