The Last Great Letter Writing Generation
Joan was at talavara training camp. It was one of the main training camps on the northampton race course where the girls went. She'd been very keen to join, but her parents wouldn't let her. This was a big sticking point, parents not wanting their daughters to get into uniform and leave home. And weirdly, i was reading her letters about getting numerous inoculations. The very day that i'm reading about these vaccinations, she's sending me on a voice recognition email, just off to get my first coron o virus vaccine. There was something rather wonderful about this conof, you know, 80 years on. Symbiosis really, i suppose is the word.
