The problem with bourgeois thought is that it can't think mediation. It has to constant make these leaps from the particular to the universal. And so what he means by the philosophical concept of totality is seeing how the logic of of the whole is even expressed in the very particular activities in which o engage. So there's you at work, there'syou at home, there's you in the social club,. There's you tatat and you, those things simply fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. But there isn't any imminent reason that you nights why those activities take the form they do.
