The book is about the way that language emerges over time and how it's used in our modern life. It starts off with Cognition and what that means, then moves on to other things like cognition for spiders and lizards before we get into language. Almost nobody learns What a word means just in a sort of like I see an object and I've learned that this is this. We create these artificial systems That make it more modular so sentences didn't start because somebody came up with that framework.
