The first performance enhancing drug to be used in baseball was pulverised guinea pig testicles. Doctor Charles Edward Brown-Saccade said that he tried it on himself and it had worked, that ground up guinea pigs testicles or dog testicles mixed with blood could reverse the aging process. A lot of Nobel prizes were won by guinea pigs at the start of the 20th century - but they never got the medals because there wasn't a podium for them.
