Diane Downs and her children were shot as they drove home from a friend's house. Diane says she was flagged down by an assailant who wanted to take her car. She refused, he fired the weapon at her then she got in her car and took off. Her seven-year-old daughter Cheryl sustained the most trauma; one bullet went through her shoulder blade.
