Is It Better to Read the Translation of the Hobbit in English or in Your Language?

Gandalf in the stories is very much a spiritual figure, and especially in Lord of the Rings. Tolkien was a very strong Christian. Is it more useful to do extensive or intensive reading of this book? You could certainly, if it's a challenge for you, I would say, do some intensive reading. It's a challenging book in English, I understand. Do your best.
