What happens in china is going to resonate round the rest of the world. It's really something that pretty much every country should be looking at extremely closely. Some businesses are offering their struggling workers enough to try and help them manage their finances. The u.K. will have new data on inflation, with prices expected to rise nine%. But some consumers will feel the pain of rising prices more than others. I'm joined by our employment calmness sarah o'connor to talk more about this.

Cash holdings among global fund managers have risen to their highest level since 9/11, China’s economic data show how badly the country is suffering from its Covid lockdowns. Plus, the FT’s employment columnist Sarah O’Connor says inflation hurts some workers more than others and salary advancement schemes aimed at helping struggling workers may not be a panacea.
