The Importance of Falsifiability

Quine: We've got two rivaling theories, which are incompatible with each other. But we just don't have enough information before us to determine which one is true versus a claim like they're both true. So that seems to be a situation where you could say, look, I'm agnostic about the truth of this. The question, I suppose, that we're being faced now is it's practical question whether or not there is a predictive difference in these models.
