As a child reading AA Milne's Winnie the Pooh poems, I said "I'm going to be a writer" Victor Hugo is one of my very favorite authors. Pat Rothfuss showed me that taking a well-worn trope and doing it in a brilliant way is still a viable way to write a story. Charlie Strauss's Glass House was mind blowing.
