How Are You? And How Are We?

There's a lot of gendered expectations about how we're even supposed to be in relationship to each other, regardless of the fact that we're queer. And when alphonso and i have talked about how our previous dating and romantic lives can work their ways into expectations, or what things are supposed to mean. We don't just will it into existence either. It's like we have to remind ourselves. Ok, we're not going to start working until we really check in, and we ask this question, how are you? How am i? And how are we?
