Survivorship Bias

A person can experience survivorship bias by viewing their own chances of success through the lens of stories that they've heard about successful people in the past. This is especially dangerous because it can put an unrealistic expectation of success on someone, and it can lower the chances of them taking real actions to give themselves the best chances ry. It's an overestimating of one's own abilities, which can be fatal to a person's chances of successes at all.
