Dominic: We must respect people's autonomy, and that is based on respect for a human being of this incalculable intrinsic worth. But by ending a patient's life, we troy a patient's autonomy, because we turn a somebody who has that autonomy into a nobody. And i don't know what's on the other side of death. It could be that what that person's going to go through after they die is worse than the suffering they're currently experiencing. So if i'm going to be in evidence space position, my intent must be to stay on this side of that bright line of reducing human suffering with that tool that i have in my pocket.
