When we lose interest, we simply stop responding. No one is clear about their intentions. Some lie about their intentions just to have their ego stroked for a while. We are so involved in seeing perfect couples in social media that we believe that we must be like them to be happy. Having password access to his phone or uploading pictures is not proof of love. I don't trust a couple that has a shared Facebook account. That is like psychopath.
