The 2004 Amendment to the Citizenship Rules Delegated Powers to Grant Citizenship Here

An act is passed now that explicitly catered for minority Hindus with Pakistani citizenship who had migrated to India more than five years back. A special category has already been created already on the basis of religion but this is not done in the act it is done through the provision of the rules. Muslims or refugees from other countries like Sri Lanka etc are not eligible to get citizenship under the same which is a clearly discriminatory so all of this is just by way of saying that things have been already changing.
