What's a Negative Log?

The CO2 causes the S combines with the water, converts back through, jumps through H2CO3 really quickly and turns into an H plus. And he gets to this later in the chapter when we talk about buffering. The current is proportional to the negative log of the hydrogen ion concentration. That was kind of one of the moments of my mind kind of exploded. I was like, oh, that's why we use a negative log? Did anybody else find that interesting? Nobody. Look up to know.
