How to Solve the UX Impact of Cookies

The laws are all quite clear about how it has to be, clear that you're asking this question. Some of them are the monster evil ones where there's a giant banner across the page. Where's others have done something about subtleties? A little kind of layer in the bottom corner that mentions cookies and gives you a yes or no, you know, to click. But at the moment, there's no real solution for these problems.
