The History of Cypriots

Cyprus is has historically been a greek island. It came under the occupation of the outoman empire during the time of the ottoman empire, beginning around the fifteenth, sixteenth century. Later, the automan empire, in the nineteenth century, started becoming reallally weak, and eventually cy Cyprus was made independent. One third of the population of the entire island that e are converts to islam.
