The Importance of Substitution
There had to be a righteous life. God sent his son to live that righteous life so he could be the acceptable lamb of sacrifice. Every moment of Christ's life is substitutionary. He's the second Adam, now standing where the first Adam stood and failed, but without failure. So we don't want to just- people talk about, they run to the cross because of the significance of the cross. But every moment of Jesus's life, he is purchasing my righteousness. He's my substitute. And then sin demands a penalty. The penalty is death. Someone had to absorb the penalty, satisfy God's anger. It's the grace of God and the anger of God was sinned
