Black America - The Greatest Race War in American History
Many white americans felt threatened by black men who had fought in the military and resented the competit they posed on the job market. Militant groups and conservative politicians stepped up their efforts to defend white supremacy. White mobs terrorized and killed black people in more than 25 cities in what became known as red summer. At least 51 black people were lynched in 19 22 alone.
