The Rise of the Republican Fleet in Spain
The Republicans had massive naval security, particularly in the area around the sprigs of Walter. Even with air power, the number of troops that could be shipped across by air was not very great. Had the Republican fleet shown more aggression, shown more staying power, it's difficult to say what would have happened. It's possible, possible, that the rising could have been bottled up.
