Why People Don't Want to Work Anymore

In the late 18 hundreds, leisure was becoming more available. This made it easy for some people to say that cheap people just want to play around. Peter says that this has been extensively studied in the united states and the conclusion is clear. People did not want to work less just because they had access to more leisure. In fact, it can be argued that some people wanted to work even more because more work meant more money which meant more luxurious leisure.
