How to Understand Time

We are creatures of time. We have a sense of time going forward, time going back. But when you look at the mathematical solutions of our equations, there's nothing particularly special about time. How can creatures of time climb out of the time in which they live in to understand time? And I think if we could understand time, and I don't know if we can, because we're creatures of time."
