Is There a Timeline in the Old Testament?
In the Old Testament, there are types or foreshadows of what Jesus fulfills in the New Testament. How not all Christians know about that and how a lot of what we say is true comes out of maybe wrestling with error. Most of the councils Vatican II was a little different, but most of the councils were actually trying to settle a problem.
