Introduction

Dr. Alan Finkle is the former chief scientist of Australia and he has recently launched a new book called Powering Up. It's the pathway to Australia's what's in it zero for Australia and quite possibly the world. He says we can be an electrostate by exporting renewable energy resources such as solar panels, wind turbines, batteries,. electric cars, heat pumps and the like. In other words, we will be exporting sunshine. I call that shipping sunshine to other countries because just because we get rid of oil, coal and gas doesn't mean the countries don't need to buy and sell energy.
