The Importance of Protein
Most people think that if they stop eating large quantities of protein in particular that they're going to get weaker. But the importance of protein is highly exaggerated, and it actually can induce what's called late onset postprandial hyperglycemia. The consumption of any more than approximately 30 grams of protein from one meal can induce high blood glucose and high insulin concentrations for five to 18 hours following a meal.
