The average black female only earns 62 cents for every dollar that her white male counterpart earns. Over a 40 year career that gap translates to almost a million dollars. The first thing is invest in getting financially educated, and there are many things that are free information that's available online. And the other thing is to know your worth and value and to advocate for yourself.
