Nietzsche's Art as Compared to Morality
Nietzsche is fundamentally opposed to this moral interpretation of the world even here, which is why he has that silent hostility to Christianity. Right action or right belief is what justifies life. And so this is what we see in our modern art criticism. It's true in Nietzsche's time, probably even more true today where oftentimes there's almost nothing other than the moral interpretation that people can bring to a story.
