The Evolution of Sneaker Culture
Sneaker culture really personally was connected to basketball. The emergence of hip-hop and basketball which were like just undeniably a driving force in what made sneakers what it is today. For me it was always about having something that no one else had so when I walked down the street and you saw someone looking at your shoes or gave you a nod it was like yeah that's why I do it. Back in 2003 2004 when I went to the very first sneaker freak of swap meet in Australia there wasn't this big thing about collecting sneakers but I think it kind of brought together a lot of things that you can be passionate about, flip and make money on.
