Is the King Arthur Legend Rooted in Reality?

i was under the impression that you could just stop passers by on the street in london and ask them for the true story. But i still am unsatisfied with the answers i got. So i thought i would tap into the brain trust here and ask you guys your opinion, and it may differ from each other. Do you think that the king arthur legend is rooted in any sort of reality, or is this a fabricated myth from the get go? Tom juni confest.
