The Astrophysicists' Disdain
Criticism can, of course, be undesirable if it's being offered where and when it's not wanted. For example, a field close to my heart, astro physics. I worried out loud recently that there has been a turn in the culture of astro physics - they are actively antagonistic towards it. And this is not least because astrophysicis in particular, can rely on governments for their funding almost exclusively. They feel free to turn their nose up at business people.
