What Is Chromium?

Chromium is the pure open source implementation of the Chrome browser. Microsoft Edge is technically based on Chromium, but they use a lot of things from the Chrome project too. You could just use the Chromium base and then add or remove whatever, you know, kind of googly bits you wanted. But there are other things that Google builds that they are like, hey, this is ours and if you want to use them.
