"I know really nothing about investing in things like this," she says. "It literally brought me to my knees." Her husband's business was very service-based, which meant that they had to be involved too. She started inviting herself to dinners with her husband's friends and learned a lot from them. It made her realize how much money women could make by starting their own companies or investments.
