Is There Something Beyond Us?

It seems like from childhood onward, so much of how we live is based upon unconscious speculations about purpose. Do you think we can get that that sense of the speculative guiding us? I don't know the answer to that question, but i guess like thinking about god, like i can both believe in this idea and not believe in it, and it feels fine. Like hat doesn't feel like a paradox or a contradiction in believing or not believing. It seems strange. Let's let god be a kind of standing word for something we don't understand, but that also signifies something beyond us.
