The history has been voting contempt motions out of congress, but the justice department not acting on he a. And that's been the history for the last several presidential administrations. I forget if it ther's anything more recent than huak, where this was used against private citizens as part of some partisan squabbles. We've entered an era our politics where members of congress forget that they have institutional interests in congress being able to investigate and think purely of the partisan valance of any given investigation.
