Was It a Staff Engineer at a Studio or a Free Lancer?

"I always thought i was an engineer, you know, it never occurred to me that i wasn't. And then i would look back on things like, al right, i'm not an engineer yet," he says. "i've always been a bit of a geek. I'm fascinated by the technology." He started out working at sound city in London before joining new england digit and making 'big boy' records with his band The Sinklavers.
