Is the ECB Better at Data Surveillance of the Non-Bank Financial System?
ECB has a better handle on non-bank financial system than the U.S., according to BIS report. Banks, we all have good regulations and good data on what their risk exposures are,. Non-bankFinancial system has become very large, and we don't have very good handle on it. Do we have the absorptive capacity in the global financial system to live with such high rates? Big question for sure.
