Carnivore diet advocates say plants are full of phytochemicals, which are essentially a form of plant toxin. They argue that if the plant evolved to these chemicals in order to dissuade predators, whether herbivores or insects from eating it, therefore that chemical is toxic. And you don't want to eat a toxic compound, do you? Because toxins are bad for you and therefore plants are good for you because they're full of these toxins.
