Film School - Do You Have a Producer?

When they're shooting their films, what do they do for ADs and things like that? Do they have someone that's running the set? Because that would make it a lot easier. Well, you know, one of the roles that they rotate through is the role of producer. And so the producer by default becomes the AD. That's what happens when you're working on a five man, a five person crew. I encourage them heavily to try to shoot documentaries because of the value of that. For the directors, it's a much harder road to plow. There are probably more jobs for editors and cinematographers coming right out of school. They work cheap, right? Yeah
