This year has seen droughts and flooding, which have affected global food production. Russia invaded Ukraine and the subsequent restrictions on exports from both of those countries is being felt in terms of fuel costs but also food costs. All of these factors are working together to increase food insecurity. I'm Paul Simpson, Partnerships Editor for the BMJ.
