The future looks bright at least for the next 10 trillion years and there's rumors back on earth they figured out how to economically capture dark matter which would vastly expand our available black hole fuel. A cubic light day almost anywhere in the galaxy would have nearly 100 million gigatons of dark matter in it enough to keep us lit for a quadrillion years. There are places where things are much thinner or thicker like the Orion Nebula or Horsett Nebula or many more nebulae that are fascinating places often the birthplace of stars.
