The Death Penalty in America - A Novel Fucking Idea
Germany chose to learn from its fucking bad past. Something that America is real bad at. And I think there's something interesting that happens here, which is that this is a film which ostensibly talks about four young people who don't have a massive moral position on the war other than going to fight for their own country. But then we're sort of confronted with this is the reality of the world they live in. There's a really telling scene that I haven't come across it in the book yet. I'm a little as a Sam O'Millow through the way through, but we're Paul attacks someone who's about to kill him in the trenches and then stabs him several times
