Is There a Dorm Like That?

Excess interest in some particular set of ideas marks you as a boring tool. The two boring because you are able to talk about lots of other things everybody else wants to talk about. And a tool because you don't have your own agenda you're just a slave to this professional topic area of yours. So maybe the thought is that being well rounded, having interests outside of your job will mark you as some kind of like a leader. It's nothing to do with elites per se. It's just people like others to be similar to themselves.
