The Symbolic Metaphor of Humanity
i think our cultures are kind of at that tension point between those two views what it is to be human. The rational metaphor has served us really well a, you know, it's given us technology. But i think the embodied, a spiritual creature metaphor also served us very well up to a point. And i think now what we have to do is kind of balance attention between these two metaphors and how we take the best out of out both mind sets.
